Increasing Number of Korean Unmarried Women
Today, many Korean women don’t want to get married, and the median marriage age for women has increased steadily. According to a statistic, in 1990, Korean women’s median marriage age was 24.9 years old, but now, it is 28.3 years old. They think marriage is not necessary but is their choice, and it would hurt their life style. Modern Korean women want to have their career, and avoid marriage because it require a lot of sacrifices. If married, they may have to take care of household chores, their children, and husband. It may be stressful, and difficult to concentrate on thier job, so they don’t think about getting married. In addition, it is expensive to educate children in Korea, so many women think it is better to invest in themselves. However, the older generation think women must get married and have a baby, so staying unmarried is not good. Also, it will become a large problem for it is connected with Korae’s low birh rate. Now, Korea has the world’s lowest birh rate (among OECD members at 1.2 per married woman). This creates other social problems, for example, a shortage of young people who should work. I’m interested in this social issue because I’m a Korean woman, and I think it needs a national response.
My Life in Five Years
Actually, I’m going to go to Austraila for about six months in next year for English study. I think it will may be adventure because I go there by myself, and I believe it will be valuable experience for me. I’d like to be a competent person whom many people need and recognize. Also, I’d like to live diligently, so my life will be quite busy, and I’d like to have my own business, for example, bakery. I want to live in my current home with my family, so I don’t want to leave there.

Children and the Internet
I think that the internet is not safe for children. There is a lot of content on the internet that may be harmful to young children. Today, many kids are exposed to sensational media like violent videos, and provocative photos. It is nessasary to supervise children while they are using the internet. There are some software programs to help protect kids from harmful web sites, so children can be easily supervised. Some parents are concerned about thier children using the internet too much for it may have a negative influence on thier behavior. I think that it is very important to let them use the internet for a limited time. One method to control them is by using programs that shut down a computer when it is passes a fixed time. However, I think the most important thing is children’s will. They should try to restrain themselves.

Yu Kwan-sun
I think one of the most important Korean historical figures is Yu Kwan-sun. She was an independence fighter against Japan, who lived in Cheonan, was an 18 years old student when she died. I think she was really courageous because she did what other young people might find hard to do. You Kwan-sun planned demonstrations for independence, during Japanese colonization, and she, along with about 2,000 demonstrators, shouted, “Long live Korean Independence!” She served a brief detention at Cheonan Japanese Military Police Station, and then she was tried and sentenced to seven years of imprisionment at Seodaemun Prison. During her sentence, Yu Kwan-sun continued to protest for the independence of Korea, for which received harsh beationgs and torture. She died in prison on October 12, 1920. Her death was indeed meaningful though she never saw the independence of Korea.
How to Make Perfect Ramyeon
Here is the how to make perfect ramyeon. To begin, you will need some simple ingredients; a package of ramyeon(it doesn’t matter what kind of ramyeon do you have, but I recommend ‘Sam-yang ramyeon’), a slice of cheese, and an egg. First, pour 500ml of water into a pot, and boil. Next, put the noodles and broth mix into the boiling water, and also add an egg. After 3 minutes, turn off the stove, and put a slice of cheese on top of the hot ramyeon. It is important to not boil it too long if you want hard noodles. Finally, serve it without stirring the cheese!
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
One of the movies that I recently saw is ‘The Curious Case of Benjamin Button’. It is a drama, but is not ordinary story. I was really attracted after I watched it though it was a rather long movie, about three hours. The movie was quite interesting because it was shocking. The main character played by Brad Pitt is old, but his body becomes younger as he get older, reverse aging. It appeared natural, as though it may be possible in the real world. Many people liked this movie as much as me, and I really recommend this movie.
